Remote Sensing
Remote Sensing
Remote sensing technology is used as an additional wind energy resource assessment tool to profile measurements of the wind up to 300 meters above the ground. This allows wind assessment at heights that are typically too expensive for Met towers with fixed anemometers and these measurements help predict the conditions that will exist at the peak of a turbines rotation.
Anemometry Specialists, Inc. has extensive experience installing remote sensing equipment to accurately measure wind resources. Remote sensing is usually installed with on-site Met towers. Remote sensing is a ground based remote sensing technology which allows remote sensing equipment to be easily moved from one location to another.
